Bamboo Building Workshop: Harvest & Treatment

Have 2 amazing days in untouched nature by the beach in southern Mindoro and combine it with learning new skills and meet likeminded people. We invited architects from Bali for you. This is a series of workshops spread out over the year- the first one is to learn how to make bamboo into a longlasting building mterial. Make your dream come true and build a bamboovilla Balistyle. Dont dream only- this is the first step to make it happen.

Bulalacao is reachable from Manila by Cebupacificair to San Jose/ Mindoro and there is a shuttle van from the airport. Or from Boracay/ Caticlan you can hop on the fast cat ferry to Bulalacao- every day at 3 am and 3pm.

Workshop programme: Day 1: Harvesting, Propagation, clump management, grading, model making (make the scale of a yurt) Day 2: This module dives into boron-based treatment solutions and how to reuse and dispose of the solution. You will learn both small and medium to large-scale treatment methods and the tolls required for each, including VSD, Cold Immersion, Hot Immersion, Boucherie and Modified Boucherie.
